Abstract

Late anomalies are one of the important challenges of ultrasound during pregnancy. Anomalies such as skeletal dysplasias, diaphragmatic hernia, hydrocephalus, intestinal atresia, etc. are common examples of these anomalies. Although there are different protocols for routine second trimester anomaly scan in the 18th to 20th week of gestation, there is no specific universal guideline for late anomaly scan. We intend to explain the issue of late anomaly scan for radiologist colleagues. Familiarity with this anomalies will helps radiologists to give better services to the pregnant women and also to give a useful guidance to the referring physicians for better perinatal care.
