Since the beginning of breast cancer screening by mammography and early detection of non palpable breast lesions, different techniques have been implemented to accursed localize small lesions before operation. This is done to make breast conservation therapy possible and to reduce the size of tissue to be excised. Injection of Metylen blue and isotope agents, wire localization and RF sensitivitie markers are among the most successful tools which have been developed for pre op localization. Each method has advantages and disadvantages which will be discussed.
